On Sunday, July 8th, I got to attend my first military chapel service. (It really wasn't that different than most churches I've been in.)
The front 2 rows of the chapel were roped off and tied with big yellow ribbons. There were red, white and blue stars attached to the pews, each displaying the name of a soldier than was deployed.
After church and lunch, we stopped in the Commissary to pick up a few groceries for our trip the next day. I thought this gondola full of bananas was quite unique!
