Sunday, August 29th was Missions Sunday at our church. This day was a culmination of several months of missions lessons that the children have been studying. It was also a celebration of the arrival of our newest missionary, Sarah Hebert. We also enjoyed having Ms. Joy, who serves in a neighboring CAN (Creative Access Nation) and the Murphy family worship with us.
What a special time of worship and fellowship!

Preparing the costumes.
The kids represented different countries throughout Asia-Pacific.

Cheska was from tribal Mindanao in the southern Philippines.

Ken - one of my little monks :)

Nikki's Indian costume took several hands!

Lining up before we went out to sing

"We're on a mission, gonna shout the news
We're on a mission, with no time to lose
To spread the love of Jesus everywhere
We're on a mission, with the Word of Truth
We've got a vision to see what God can do
Missionaries everyone of us...
We're on a mission of love!"

My littlest monk

"Use me, Jesus, use me
Take this life of mine and use me.
Use me, Jesus, use me
Keep me by your side and use me."

"Savior, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save, He is mighty to save
Forever author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave, Jesus conquered the grave.
Shine you light and let the whole world see
We're singin' for the glory of the risen King!!"

Once again, Blogger isn't cooperating with my videos. So here's the link of my precious kids singing "Mighty to Save".

Can I just say I've been looking forward to seeing this on Sundays?

Ms. Joy sharing her future plans to return to a new field of service
Sarah was also introduced to our church and asked to share a few words:

:)

These two seriously BLESSED MY HEART with the things they shared.

Just before Bro. Robert spoke, Connie and I sang a very special song - "Your Hands".
This song has become very near and dear to my heart in the last months. Life on the mission field is always a bit "shaky" and it's so comforting to know that when everything around us seems uncertain, HE is always there and always holds us in His hands.

Wow - how these guys have grown over the last 8 years. They are a VITAL part of the mission work in the Philippines!! Looking forward to see how God will use them in the future!
