Hangin' with Friends

Recently Caleb was able to attend the birthday party of one of his best friend's little brother. DJ, the birthday boy, is in the yellow shirt while his older brother, RJ, is standing on Caleb's right.

Happy Birthday, DJ!!!

RJ and Caleb have know each other almost their whole lives. Although they live in another part of Asia and the boys don't get to see each other very often, whenever they are together they have a ton of fun!

Boys will be boys!!

Haul out the holly....

One of the highlights of Thanksgiving weekend was unpacking the Christmas decorations. Since we were in the States last year for Christmas, it had been two years since we had used our decorations so it was fun to try to remember where to put everything in the house!!

Sarah and Caleb teamed up to "fluff" the big tree :)

Carly worked on the little Adornament tree

I'm not even really sure how to describe this picture...

Caleb became Santa...

...while Carly became an elf.
(Is it just me or are those ears just creepy??)

Another highlight of Thanksgiving weekend...."watching" the Hogs beat LSU!!! Of course, I could only watch on my computer, but I still enjoyed watching the play-by-play.
Woooooo PIG SOOIE!!!!

Thanksgiving Day 2010

We have been so blessed during 2010! This year has been filled both with blessings and trials, but yet, we have so many reasons to give thanks!!

We enjoyed a very nice Thanksgiving Day at our house with some very dear friends, Chris and Amy Murray and their kids, and Sarah.

Our Thanksgiving Turkey!!

(Real turkeys are sometimes available in the Philippines, however they are quite expensive. This year we opted for chicken and ham!)

God even blessed us with a football game! (A rare treat in the Philippines.)

The adult table....

...and the kids' table.

The Feast - Chicken and Dressing, ham, Fantastic Potatoes, Green bean casserole, corn, carrots, Fall Veggie salad, cranberry sauce & deviled eggs!!

And then the desserts....Sarah's pumpkin pie and famous fudge pie, pecan pie and apple pie!

A special treat!! However, Sarah's not too fond of it.

Too much to eat???

Playing Wii bowling

Caleb and Andrew playing Wii sword fighting

Chicken Trail!!! And Carly was the overall winner!

Archive Alert

So I'm still delusional to the point that I still believe that SOMEDAY I'll get all caught up on my blog and post all the pictures that I've taken. A girl can still believe, right???

You see, basically I think of my blog as an online scrapbook. I like to post things chronologically so that I can always go back and remember where and when things happened. So, my "scrapbook" is a little bit behind and little by little I'm going through "mounds" of pictures and trying to get them in order.

We spent 8 months of 2009 in the States on furlough. While there, I took TONS of pictures but had little time to organize and post them. Especially during September 2009. We took a MAJOR road trip though multiple states and were blessed to see some incredible things. I have posted about half of that trip - including time in Virginia, Washington D.C. and New York City. Just look under the September 09 archives on the right side of this blog. Enjoy!

Coming soon.... the remainder of the trip, including time in Syracuse, Philadelphia, Chicago & St. Louis!

Taekwondo Testing for High Red

On November 6th, Caleb tested for his high red belt in taekwondo.

Waiting for them to get to the red belts....

....still waiting....

All registered and signed in!

"Thank you, Miss Sarah, for coming to cheer me on!!"

The testing begins

He's really not punching that kid! Part of the testing includes memorizing and executing several self-defense moves.

These last couple of pics prove that Mom can't capture moving objects with a camera!!

Yes, that blur is Caleb!

(Sorry, no videos this time. The camera battery ran out and I didn't have the back-up.)

Three more months and Caleb will test as a brown belt!! We are proud of you, son, and all the hard work you put into taekwondo!
