As mentioned in an earlier post, our "big gift" to the kids this Christmas was a trip to Subic Bay. Subic, the former home of one of the largest US Navel bases in the world, has now become a tourist area. We've heard about some really neat places there, so we decided to make a vacation of if. The next few posts will serve as a journal of our adventures!
We loaded up the car late in the afternoon on January 3rd. We drove a little ways up the road to Iriga and spent the night with our good friends, the Hagens.(This actually only cut about an hour and a half off the trip, but it allowed us to leave early the next morning and get past Naga before the traffic got too bad.)
It also allowed the kids a few hours that evening to play with their friends.
Video games are fun, but climbing Uncle Steve's rock wall is the best!
