Valentine's Day

Before I left the States in January, I bought some valentines, candy, cupcake mix and frosting - complete with heart sprinkles! Valentine's Day isn't celebrated very much in the Philippines, so things like this aren't available here. On the night before Valentine's Day, we let the kids work on filling out their valentines to each other.
When the cupcakes were done, we all had fun decorating them.

(Mackenzie was sampling her frosting)

Aunt Connie helps Lindsey with the sprinkles.

Jamin was pleased with his handiwork.

The kids then proceeded to make a couple of "cupcake deliveries" throughout the guest house. The first delivery was to Tita Dar's room.

Then Anna & Carly took cupcakes to Bro. Jerry & Mrs. Sue.

But no one enjoyed theirs as much as Avery!

On Valentine's Day, the kids exchanged valentines with each other and also had some surprises for their parents.

Jesse's "sharin' the luv" with Caleb!
Avery was excited to show me her bag of valentine candy.
Caleb shared a hug with his Papaw.
Later that day, some of our group headed home. Some of us that were left went out for a special Valentine's Day dinner.

This dear, sweet couple (the managers of the guest house) volunteered to babysit 5 Crockers plus 2 Allens so that we could go enjoy an Italian dinner together!

Thank you, Ton Ton & Nona, not only for babysitting, but for being wonderful and gracious hosts for our group all week long!
