My Mother-in-Law (being the efficient lady she is) mailed the box with all our Christmas gifts several weeks before the typhoons hit. So when we traveled to the States for Christmas, our gifts were travelling to the Philippines! We were able to contact the shipping company and they held our box until we arrived back in Legazpi.
The box arrived the day we were flying to Manila for our field conference and we literally had 10 minutes to rip open the packages before we had to leave for the airport! Thankfully, Mom was quick with the camera.
Carly was surprised to open a "real" ring from Mamaw.

But the biggest surprise was the Gameboys. Actually, the Gameboys weren't really a surprise because Mamaw had told us about them at Christmas. But we sure were excited to finally get them!!
