Seeing the City

One doesn't take a group of ladies to Hong Kong for the first time without having a couple of days to sight-see! Especially when it's Chinese New Year and the entire city is "dressed up!" So here are a few pics of our adventures around the city.

Kung Hei Fat Choy!!
(Happy New Year!!)
This year is the year of the pig, so all of us from Arkansas felt quite at home!

Decorative lanterns

And there were plenty of Chinese dragons around town.

Even the Star Ferry was decorated for the New Year.

But some parts of Hong Kong looked the same as usual.

Even the Peking Duck!

What a skyline!

And at night, it's spectacular!

A trip to Hong Kong wouldn't be complete without a trip - or several trips - to the Ladies' Market.

We even practiced eating like the locals.

(You really don't have a choice when there are no forks on the table!)

But thankfully we didn't have to eat our ice cream with chopsticks.

And even with all the sightseeing and shopping and eating....we still had time to visit with the celebrities!
