Jamestown, Virginia

After a long 2 days of traveling, it was great to wake up to a wonderful breakfast made by Aunt Mandy! So thankful to have a few days to spend with the Pauley family in their home.

Carly playing with the camera! ha ha

Chris and Mandy's house in Richmond. A beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood!!

Abigail!!!

Loading up the van to all head to Jamestown.

The drive to Jamestown ended up being a little longer than expected, but thankfully the kids were able to entertain themselves! At one point I turned around and the 5 kids were singing 5 different songs at once!

3 Pauleys + 2 Allens = NOISE!!

Posing in front of the fountains before going into Jamestown.

Exploring inside the Indian houses

Heading to the ships

Oh, the drama!

Aye aye, Captain!!

Checking out the other ship

Getting some Abigail hugs!!

We got to see this demonstration of how to load and shoot a matchlock musket. What was so cool was that Carly had just finished reading a book for school called "The Matchlock Gun." Great timing to see one for real!

What a fun place to visit and re-live some of America's first days!
