Our church in Hong Kong is unique in that it mostly consists of women! Several years ago, a few young ladies from our churches in the Philippines moved to Hong Kong in order to be domestic helpers. (Many Filipinos work abroad in order to better support their family back home.) Through the sacrifice and witness of these ladies, we now have a solid core group that worships together each Lord's day. Several times throughout the year, we travel to Hong Kong in order to do Spiritual Renewal Conferences with these ladies.
Our topic for this conference was "The Passion of Christ." We were able to watch the movie together, followed by worship and small group studies. It was a powerful time! We were all vividly reminded how much our Saviour loves us.
We always enjoy worshiping together.
And also eating together!
This is Nelly, one of the newer ladies to the group. She is a dynamic young lady and will be an incredible asset to our group.
On Sunday, we enjoyed worshipping together and hearing Pastor Jo share from God's word.
However, the highlight of the day was when this lady prayed and accepted Christ as her Saviour. Please pray for her as she begins her new walk with Christ.
These two very special ladies are Alma and Sally. For many years they have been the "backbone" of our work in Hong Kong. If it weren't for their faithfulness, we probably wouldn't have the church we have today.
