Dog Days of Summer

On Monday, August 11th, I took the kids swimming since this was our last official day before our new school year started. We went to a resort here in Bacolod called Palmas del Mar and it was beautiful!! (Just wish Wade could've gone with us. He was on a trip to Bicol.)

We've seen these little flowers before, but never seen them tri-colored! Usually, they are solid pink, orange or yellow.

Playing with our underwater camera!

Nice hair, Carly!

The only problem with this place was that the slide was NOT slippery at all! In fact, the kids would get stuck several times on the way down and would have to "scoot" on their bottoms!

But all in all, we had a great day of relaxation before jumping back into school. Thank you, Lord, for allowing us to live in such a beautiful country!

Last Days and Last Hugs

Here are a few last photos of our time with my parents before they headed back to the States.

I love this picture!!

Before Mom and Dad left, we invited Uncle Doyle and Aunt Linda over for a game night.

They had a mean game of Moon going on.

(And I think the ladies ended up winning!!)

We had a dear friend in the States who sent each of the kids $50!! Wow!! What a blessing!

Thanks for coming, Mom and Dad. And thanks for staying for 3 full weeks!! How nice to be able to share this many days together in a row! We will miss you and look forward to your next visit! We love you!

Lifeword Recording

Pastor Pete, the director of Lifeword Philippines, asked us if we would come over to the studios and record. Dad recorded a Lifeword broadcast, together with Pastor Pete, and mom and I did our violin/keyboard duet and our trio with Carly.

She was a little distracting!!

Getting ready to be on camera! LOL

Carly's making sure I've got it all together!

Pastor Pete uploaded both videos to the Lifeword Asia page on YouTube. Here's the link for the violin/keyboard duet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Er1E3RbBZSM&feature=channel_page

Thanks for posting those, Pastor Pete!
