Happy 7th Birthday, Caleb!!

Today is Caleb's 7th birthday!!!

We woke him up this morning with balloons and all sorts of craziness/singing!!

New magnetix! Woohoo!!

Reading his card from his sister

(Don't ya love the bed-head?!)

A new magic set from Carly!

For dinner, we met our good friends, Uncle Dave and Aunt Debbie, at Small Talk Cafe to celebrate the big day!

Caleb's Banana split with 7 candles!

After dinner, Caleb requested that Uncle Dave and Aunt Debbie come over to the house to play the Game of Life, his fav!!

Speaking of Life....

Ours hasn't been the same since this day in 2001! Caleb, you have filled our home with laughter, noise, excitement (emergency trips to the hospital), drama, talking (and LOTS of it!), busy-ness, dirt, toads and all things BOY!! But most of all, you have filled our hearts with joy! We love you and are so thankful that you are a part of OUR game of Life!

February Extras

We were privileged to be able to meet up with the Hagens one day when some of their family was here visiting with them. We all drove out together to the top of Lignon Hill to get a great view of Mayon.

We could see a path of fresh lava flow because it was still smoking! (at the foot of the mountain)

Caleb has been taking karate for several weeks now at a local school. Of course, the day we took the camera to take pictures, he was very embarrassed - not because we were taking pictures, but for the first time he had to spar with a GIRL!!!!!

Rain, rain, go away.....

Yes, it is STILL raining in Legazpi!!!

Thankfully, we had a couple of somewhat-sunny days to help dry up some places. But we're still getting rain off and on everyday. I do think (or maybe "hope" is a better word) that we are past the worst of it.

Thank you so much for your prayers. We ended up only having about 8 inches of water in the house, which is WAY better than the last time it flooded. And as Carly pointing out, "At least the water isn't black this time, Mom!" Our prayers were answered and we have much to be thankful for!

Here are a few pictures of our latest flood in the Allen house. (Sorry, I wasn't out and about enough to get any good pictures of downtown. By the time we got out, most of the water had receded.)

The schoolroom - At least we were able to empty the shelves before the water got there!

Caleb decided today that he was tired of waiting for the rain to stop! Life must go on!
