A Special Day

We had one extra day with the Bells while we were in Bicol to show them around some of our favorite places and to get in a little R & R.

First we took them to Cagsawa Ruins to try and get a good view of Mayon. Unfortunately, the clouds weren't very cooperative that day!

Next we drove to Ginobatan for a day of fellowship with our close friends, the Hagens.

We hadn't been there very long before Zach's head met up with the side of the slide!! He cut it pretty good, but boy was he a trooper!

After some bandages and a little TLC, Zach was ready to go again!

While big brother was getting bandaged up, Ben was posing for underwater pictures.

The colors at Oh La La that day were absolutely gorgeous! This picture just doesn't do it justice.

"Three little monkeys sittin' in a tree......"

(My point exactly!)

My #1 monkey

Carly SO enjoyed a chance to get to be with Mikayla again

Actually, we ALL enjoyed a chance to be together again!

More monkey poses...

We decided on our way out to get a group picture of both families. However, you can tell that the kids smiles are a little forced. They knew we were about to have to say goodbye to the Hagens....again. Guess this picture would've been a little better earlier in the day! :)

Somehow, we did manage to get good smiles from them. (Probably Uncle Steve told a joke! ) As hard as it was to say goodbye again, we were sooooo thankful to have this day together. Felt just like old times!

Jenny & Jerry Bell

We were blessed in early June by a visit from Jenny and Jerry Bell from Texas. Jenny is a long-time friend that came here to do several one-day conferences for our pastor's wives and church workers. She did a wonderful job encouraging our ladies! They were so blessed, not only by her presence, but also with her testimony and the things she shared from God's Word.

Personally, our family so enjoyed visiting with Jenny and Jerry! After all the chaos of the last few weeks, it was so refreshing to just have some time to visit and "hang out."

After doing several conferences in Bacolod, Jenny and Jerry traveled with us back to Legazpi in order for her to do a conference for our ladies there. (We had already planned for her to do this conference before we knew we were moving. So it was an extra treat for us to be able to go back so soon after moving and see all our friends again!)

At the beginning of the day, Jenny started with a short "spa" session. It was so special to be able to see these ladies truly relax and to be able to physically minister to them.

The ladies from Jenny's church had sent "goody bags" for all the conference participants. They REALLY enjoyed getting a bag filled with treats.

A big "thank you" to the ladies of First, Red Oak!!

Our ladies were also touched to read personal notes from the Texas ladies.

Prayer groups

Ate Larry - our "chef" for the day!

Thanks again, Jenny, for ministering to our Bicol ladies in such a special way. I know they were so blessed and encouraged. Thank you for being used of God!
