July 16th FINALLY arrived and Papaw, Minnie, Addie, Emily, Mrs. Paula and Mrs. Karen arrived in Manila! There were lots of hugs (and a few tears) that were shared.
One of the places we went in Manila was Zamboanga Restaurant, a native restaurant with a show of native dancing.
These guys go from table to table taking requests.
The show is a display of traditional dancing and costumes through the years of Philippine history.
Towards the end of the show, the dancers asked volunteers to come up on stage and try tinikling - a native Filipino dance where the dancer hops in and out of moving bamboo poles. Carly and Emily both gave it a try!
Way to go, girls!!!!
