When these girls and ladies began to plan their trip, they sent word that one of the main purposes of their trip was to "minister" to our kids, especially Carly. Through their GMA work, these girls have been studying missionaries and missionary families and wanted to be an encouragement to our family. After some discussion, we all decided that a "room makeover" for Carly would be a great idea, seeing as how we'd just moved and her room was a blank slate! We made some initial plans on this end and they did a little shopping on their end and in the week they were here, it all came together! It was a lot of work, but everyone was involved and we had lots of fun working, laughing and sweating together!!

And there was LOTS and LOTS of sanding. Ugh.(I'm not sure why this pic is sideways. I've tried 3 times and it keeps showing up this way??)

Painting the shelf that fits on the end of the bed
Not ALL the paint made it on the bed! Ooops!

Still sanding.....
....and still sanding....
....and cleaning brushes for the MILLIONTH time!!!
The closet doors before...
....and after!!

....and after!!Thank you so much for your work in Carly's room. To have a room put together by her grandparents and friends is such a special blessing for her! Thank you for all your hard work and sweat. To give up several days of your trip to work was above and beyond. You all were such a blessing to us and have encouraged and ministered to us as a family. We love you!!
