After spending a week with all the fam in NWA, we headed to East Texas. Wade had been invited to preach revival services at the church where he used to pastor, Sheridan Terrace Baptist Church in Palestine. It was wonderful to see all our friends from several years ago!!
I love the "Texas Drive Friendly Law"
We were well taken care of by Ms. Virgie and Miss Barbara. They treated us to pizza one day for lunch - kids' choice.
One evening as we were leaving the hotel to go to the church, we saw this beautiful rainbow!!
One of our former hang-outs!!
So good to see Cathy and JB again. These ladies helped "raise" Carly Blair when she was a toddler.
One afternoon we drove about an hour away to Corsicana, TX to meet up with my cousin, Karol, and her family. They were staying a few hours away and had a little time to meet up with us and Corsicana was a good mid-way point.
We met for lunch at Braum's. Man, you just can't beat Braum's!!!
Carly & Caleb with cousins, Kaylee & Kimberlee.
YUM!!!!
And there was another little perk of meeting in Corsicana....the Russell Stover Outlet!!!
Carly used to sit with Miss Kathy during church, while Mommy was playing the piano. Miss Kathy always kept her supplied with lots of pens and pencils for drawing. Thank you, Miss Kathy, for encouraging this little girl's artistic talents!
The Williams Family
Some of Joanna's cousins who came from Jacksonville to see us. Thank you, Parsons, for coming. It was wonderful to see you!!
This is Eli, the son of the world's best babysitter ever!!
Lucas and Carly. They spent many an hour playing together - either in the dirt or with Carly's Pollys. Ha ha. (Sorry, Luke) Many years ago, on Easter I think, they stood in this same place and posed for pictures. Becky and I forced them to pose again. Can't you see how thrilled they were to do this???
JB with her precious kiddos
Caleb got to be good buddies with the pastor's son
Thank you, STBC, for inviting us. We had a wonderful week visiting with all of you again! We are so very thankful for your prayers and support as we serve God in this place. We love you all and will always hold a very special place in our hearts for you.
