Immediately following church camp, we hit the road on our way to Kansas City, Missouri. Along the way, we stopped in briefly at the George Washington Carver National Park.
It was a beautiful park and we wished we would've brought a picnic!
Writing on a real slate
Things that Carver developed....from A to Z.
Feeling real cotton
Dad rubbing Carly with the skunk skin. Ewwww!!
Caleb bought a peanut-growing kit!
This was a really neat mini-field trip for us. Carly had just finished reading a book on Carver, so how cool was it that we "happened" upon his park! They had a nice film and museum that we were able to see. Just wish we would've had time to walk the trails, but we were on a schedule. Maybe next time!
