After a 44 hour trip (beginning to end) we are finally back on American soil! With a cancelled flight and an unexpected overnight in Seattle, it was quite an adventure. But we made it safely (along with all our luggage) and that's what counts! God is good! Carly and Caleb were champion travellers - even during the 2 hour line to get our flight re-booked. I couldn't have asked for more.
We've spent the last few days just trying to settle into life here. We've spent time with both sets of grandparents and have gotten in lots of hugs, snuggles, laughing, eating, shopping, 4-wheeler and tractor riding and even some fishing! The weather here has been absolutely beautiful since we've arrived - a much-needed break from the Philippine heat. But please don't think we're strange when you see us wrapped up in a jacket when the thermometer dips down into the 60s!! Our bodies are just confused!
Thank you to all those who were praying for our trip. Please continue to pray for Wade during the next few weeks as he is preparing for our furlough. He has several very busy weeks ahead of him. We are looking forward to having all our family on the same continent again!
