Moving Day

Moving Day finally arrived! Early that morning (well...actually late the night before) a large truck with an ocean-going container showed up. We had some wonderful friends show up to help us load and help us figure out how to use every square inch of space in that container!!

If you notice, there was no ramp to get things up into the container. Everything had to be lifted straight up or be walked up our ladder. And the container sat about 5 feet off the ground. Fun fun! (What we'd give for a U-Haul!!)

We left the computer set up until the last possible moment so that Caleb could be "occupied." :)


Ate Ellen has been a HUGE help during this move. We will miss her dearly!



At this point, Carly took the camera and just started taking pictures of all kinds of things. (I was too busy to care!)

Are we having fun yet?!

The kids were so sad to leave our mango trees! This was the first batch of mangoes they have produced since the typhoons last year and we had to leave before they were ready to eat. :(

Daddy Bruce was our #1 Supervisor!!

Carly...was this picture really necessary??!! I mean, come on, it's moving day! And it's 100 degrees out here!! UGH.

All locked up and ready to go! The truck will drive the container north to Manila - about 12 to 14 hours - and then it will be loaded on a ship headed to Negros. All in all, we should see our things again in about a week. God, please protect all our belongings as they travel across the country!
