On August 24th, we attended a 1st birthday party of Yves Denise Cortez. Her parents, Dennis and Yvonne, are good friends and go to our church. 1st birthdays in the Philippines are a huge celebration! This baby girl has been prayed for for a long time and we were so blessed to be able to celebrate together with her parents and grandparents!

Unlike many American birthday parties, Filipino birthday parties have a full meal plus cake!
Traditional birthday fare - pancit (noodles) and hot dogs and marshmallow on a stick! (I know, very different, but traditional here)
