Sunday, June 18th, 2006 was a very sad day around the Allen house. That was the day when some of our closest friends, the Dumitra family, left the Philippines to return to Austria. The night before they left, several missionary families from Legazpi met together for dinner as a "send-off" for the Dumitras.

Words cannot describe how much we will miss the Dumitras. They have become family to us. To say that our kids are close would be a huge understatement! We are so thankful that we have had several years together to serve God in the same area. We pray that if it be His will, He would bring them back to this place.
Nana & Marion, we are praying for you as you seek God's will for your future. We miss you terribly. Thank you so much for all you've done for us - fixing stoves and generators, traveling with us to Calapan, showing us how to FLY, homeschooling advice. But most of all, thanks for teaching us how to play Dutch Blitz!! Someday we WILL beat you, Marion!
